    2. Larry, there were William Hollands in Jackson Co. & Forsyth Co. 1850. And a William took Oath of Allegiance to US government in Whitfield co. 1876. I coped Joseph in 1870 Murray with wife Margaret, children Julia, Annie and John N. There was a Joseph who drew land in Cherokee Land Lottery, living in Burke Co., drew land in Murray. My ancestor was Jacob, b. NC or SC, c. 1800. Wife was Esther, have just learned her maiden name was Welborn, also spelled Willburn at times. Her father made a will in Lauderdale Co., AL - he was Ephraim Welborn. Jacob & Esther's children were named: and children were: Jesse- m. Eliz. Worley Cass Co; James- m. Mary K. Thompson in Murray; Susan - m. Joseph Russell; John, m. Cordelia Ann Springfield; Ephraim - m. Rebecca Ann Thompson - Mary K's sister; Mary Ann; Ruthy - m. John W. Strickland in Whitfield Co. My ancestor was James and he named a son Wilburn. Would love to hear from anybody about Hollands. Virginia Alexander
