I coped Joseph in 1870 Murray with wife Margaret, children Julia, Annie and John N. There was a Joseph who drew land in Cherokee Land Lottery, living in Burke Co., drew land in Murray. My ancestor was Jacob, b. NC or SC, c. 1800. Wife was Esther, have just learned her maiden name was Welborn, also spelled Willburn at times. Her father made a will in Lauderdale Co., AL - he was Ephraim Welborn. Jacob & Esther's children were named: and children were: Jesse- m. Eliz. Worley Cass Co; James- m. Mary K. Thompson in Murray; Susan - m. Joseph Russell; John, m. Cordelia Ann Springfield; Ephraim - m. Rebecca Ann Thompson - Mary K's sister; Mary Ann; Ruthy - m. John W. Strickland in Whitfield Co.
