I also fell prey to the same hoax. The file is still out there on your computer, but you have to extract and restore it. You might try this: Even though you may have deleted sulfnbk.exe, it still remains on your hard drive as it is a file of Windows. To find the description of sulfnbk.exe and how to replace the program file (Q301316), do the following: 1. Go on-line and in the URL type: www.microsoft.com/support/ 2. In search window type, sulfnbk.exe. 3. Depress the search button (->). 4. Scroll to bottom of page and click on description of sulfnbk.exe. For Windows 98: To restore the file, sulfnbk.exe, follow the directions listed below. Please note that there are forward slashes (/) and backward slashes (\). We will use the backward slash. Also do not use a CD disk as the information is already on your hard drive. 1. On the desktop click Start button (bottom left corner). 2. From the menu select Run and click on it. 3. The Run Dialog Box appears, and where it says, Open: type in, sfc Click OK. 4. The System File Checker Dialog Box appears. Click circle: Extract one file from installation disk. Type in sulfnbk.exe Depress Start button or Enter key. Do not use Browse button as formal directions indicate. 5. The Extract File Dialog Box appears: This is the one where the formal directions are as clear as mud! Do you want to create it? Reply by depressing the Yes button. 7. Extract File says, The file has been successfully extracted. If it doesn’t say the file has been successfully extracted, then there is a problem. This should complete the installation of the file into its proper place. Lets find the file we just replaced: 1. Go back to desktop, activate Start button, choose Programs, and select Windows Explorer by clicking on it. 2. In the left window, choose by clicking on C: drive (or selecting or highlighting). 3. Go down and click on the (+) Windows. 4. Then go down to the (+) Command and click on it. 5. Note that the (+) turns into a (-) and the Command folder opens up and the sulfnbx.exe file or folder is displayed. 6. Now click on the sulfnbk.exe folder which is in the left window and notice that the sulfnbk.exe icon is displayed in the right window with the date of installation and size of the file.
