Hi, all I am looking for my great great grandparent's families. James M. Strawn married Lucinda Cross 6 Dec 1847 in Murray County, Ga. James left Lucinda and Georgia before the 1860 census and Lucinda left before the 1870 census. Both wound up in Texas. The dates on Lucinda (Loucinda) 's gravemarker lists her date of birth as 20 Aug 1829. The 1850 census for Murray Co listed her birthplace as Alabama, but on the 1860 census and the others following, has Georgia. The only dates that I have for James is his birth was about 1830. I believe that he may be the son of Jackson Strawn, and if not, related. They were all living in the same area during the 1850 census. I am also wondering what happened to one of James's daughters ( Amanda ) that stayed behind in Georgia marrying Joseph J. Hampton on 6 Oct 1886 there in Murray Co. Any help would be appreciated.
