Hello List, I have just signed on so here is who I am and what I am researching. My name is Steve Strickland. My line is: George W., John Robert, William McKinley, William Roy then me. My brick wall is George W. Strickland's father. The reason I signed on to the Murray County list is Thomas Cronan. He married George W.'s child, Mary Ann. I was hoping to find descendants of George W.'s other children so I could find out what, if anything, they knew about George W. and his parents. My Dad says Thomas Cronan is buried somewhere around Chatsworth. Does anyone have anything on Tom Cronan? Here is all I have: Tom Cronan b. March 1852, married Mary Ann Strickland (b. 1862, Gilmer, GA) November 9, 1893. They are in the Gordon County, GA, census of 1900 and in the Polk County, GA, census in 1920. Mary Ann died in 1936, and since she was ten years older, and was buried in East Etowah, McMinn, TN, next to her brother and sister in law, I figure Tom must have died near to but after 1920.
