Wow! Ask and you shall receive or something like that. JC--According to my mother, who is the only living source I have, Minnie Ora died in Georgia and Meadie (James Meda Jr.) came to Texas with Samuel and Mary and the rest of the kids around 1910. He was raised as a child of the family instead of a grandchild. I didn't know about the other son. My mother says that the best she can remember, James Meda Sr. was a hoodlum of sorts and just ran off. Meadie married Lola and they lived in Santa Anna, TX for a long time where he was an auto mechanic. I think they had 3 children and the youngest, Mary Jo, was my mother's best friend. She was killed in a car accident many years ago. How are you connected to these folks? Nancy -- you are right about Aunt Maude. I forgot about her. We live near McGregor and as soon as I have time, I want to do the cemetary thing. How are you connected? Are you interested in Springfields? I'll share what I can.
