We met her in the 80s when we were attending a historical meeting at the little church in Spring Place. We learned of our McGhee relation and had a great visit with her and her husband in their home . We were in Dalton on Jan 12th and spent the day with Marvin Sowder who is a long time friend. Would you like to have the addresses for some of the Texas and Ok. McGhees? Clevanne McGhee Kirberger is a dear cousin of ours. Her brother, Wm. Fredrick McGhee died recently and he is also buried at Lockney, Floyd county, Texas. Nancy Holland Marble >> Nancy, how nice to hear from you. You are a James Monroe McGhee descendent, is that right? No, I don't know Grace Brown's address or, for that matter, I don't know if she is even still living. I do have, however, her daughter's married name, which is rather a rather unusual one and led me to think I'd be able to find her. If you have the address, I'd be very pleased. I think Grace has played hostess to *many* McGhee descendents as they come through town. Always pleased to know new McGhee cousins, Nancy, and to have whatever data there is about them. I am not a "completist" when it comes to generalogy, but then again, I never turn anything down. Someone, someplace, might have a picture hanging around their house. One of James Monroe? One of Ambrose?? Would you like to be on my newsletter list? On my McGhee group mail list? Have access to the McGhee private website? Just let me know! Copying this to my cousin, Else (her grandfather, my grandmother were siblings), who is interested in all things McGhee and is a tireless and diligent researcher. To include her in any response, hit REPLY ALL, rather than just REPLY. *Very* nice to hear from you! Leo
