    1. Re: [MURRAY] JAMES line

    3. I noticed that you have two surnames in your file that I run into from time to time while researching my family. I am not researching either of the names as main lines, but am trying to trace a few, on a hunch that they may turn out to be siblings or cousins: One of the surnames is: LACKEY. I have these Lackeys: Jane LACKEY (b. unknown, before 1870) + Henry WHITTLE had: John N. Whittle and Annie Lenora Whittle (b.1883). Annie married James Floyd DUNN. Annie Eliza (b.1872) LACKEY + Elijah W. PETTY. ??? LACKEY married ??? ??? and had Samuel S. (b.abt. 1878), William T. (b.1879) and Katey Mae (b.1881) LACKEY. Katey Mae (b.1881) LACKEY (above) + Joseph Asbury CURD. They had Nena and Lillian CURD. I really don't need this line, but held onto the data just in case they turn out to be siblings of the others. Also, Nena and Lillian were neighbors of my Pritchetts, so I have a photo of one of them. Thomas J. (b.1844) LACKEY + Margaret S. LAMBERT on 5 Oct 1889 in Murray County. Margaret later married William D. PETTY. I really don't need much on the LACKEY family--just enough to know if Katey Mae, Thomas J., Annie Eliza and Jane LACKEY are closely related. If you have data on the ones mentioned, with specific sources, please let me know. All of the above lived, married and/or died in Murray County, Georgia. On the BURNS line, I only have one individual, whose parents I hope to find: William B. Burns (possibly William Baxter Burns or William Benjamin Baxter Burns, called "Ben.") He was the father of Kenneth Charles "Jethro" Burns, the mandolin player and comedy-music singer. William B. BURNS married Alice HEADRICK on 1 Jan 1909 in Murray County. They then moved to Conasauga, Tenn., and later to Knoxville.
