    3. Dear Mr. Hodge: Thanks for the information. I have not done much work on the reconstruction angle. My ancestor left for Texas in 1855-56. However, he did return to Murray County several times after that. His brothers apparently came to Texas after the War Between the States. While in Murray County last week, we did find the Connally family cemetary and Drewry Connally and wife buried in Mt. Zion Cemetary. However, we still cannot find where Nathaniel Edwin (Ned) Connally was buried after his body was brought back to Murray County. The Connally cemetary began with Mary Jones Connally's grave in 1870. We were never able to find the Old Spring Place Methodist Church on Highway 225. We tried on 2 different days. I don't know how we missed it. Is there a graveyard there? I believe the church itself had been moved. Anyhow, I really enjoyed my visit to Murray and Whitfield Counties; we gained a great deal of knowledge there. The people at the Murray County Library in Chatsworth were wonderful to us and very helpful.
