    3. Just checking through my 'Murray County Heritage', on page 124 "Schools of Spring Place", it says that "In 1896 Mollie Glass (Brown)taught in the Hull Kerr store building, directly north of the courthouse."; Page 127 has a picture of a school class that includes a picture of Miss Mollie Glass (Brown), teacher.; Page 131, Mollie Glass Brown mentioned as ateacher in the primary grades at Lucy Hill Institute.;Page 139, re. Spring Place Presbyterian Church, it says "Other names associated with the church in earlier days included ---------and Elder John Glass whose daughter Mrs. Mollie Brown was a long time postmistress in Spring Place."; Page 157 mentions Mollie Glass Brown as a teacher in "Gum Swamp" school.;Page 159 mentions among other teachers at Marble Hill School Mollie Glass Brown (1900). There are more than a dozen other references to Glass in the index, although I don't know how many are re. Mollie. Due to the numerous mentions of Mollie Glass Brown in this book, you might want to get you a copy of it. You can obtain a copy from the Whitfield-Murray County Historical Society, 715 Chattanooga Ave., Dalton, GA 30720. Phone (706) 278-0217. -----Original Message----- From: PanheadDude@aol.com [mailto:PanheadDude@aol.com] Sent: Thursday, November 22, 2001 3:33 AM To: GAMURRAY-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MURRAY] Mollie Glass howdy yall........hunting any info on Mollie Glass........i believe her to be from Spring Place.....a student in school in 1887......with a cousin named Suzie Glass........ any info would be highly 'preciated thanks a bunch Scott Queen ==== GAMURRAY Mailing List ==== --- Author Retains Copyright --- -- Copyright 2001 Author -- All Rights Reserved Post to List: GAMURRAY-L@rootsweb.com http://www.selfroots.com Unsubscribe request To: GAMURRAY-L-request@rootsweb.com ARCHIVES: http://searches2.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl
