    3. Unfortunately, Georgia did not keep good records until about the time of WWII. My GGGgrandfather died in 1936, and he does not have a death certificate. I do not know whether the funeral home neglected to turn it in or what. Just thought I would let you know. Although sometimes if the funeral home is still in business, they might have something.
