Dorris, >From Murray County, Georgia Marriages 1835-1905 published by Whitfield-Murray Historical Society we have only a Martha Scoggins marrying George A. Bolch on Nov 30, 1850 and from Whitfield County, Georgia Marriages 1852-1894 we have J. M. Scroggins marrying Mary Mathis on Oct 9, 1879. These are the only ones listed during these dates. Is there any way I can find out if someone died in Murray Co. I am seeking info on my ggrandfather and his dad. I'm not sure if they both died in Murray Co. or one or both died in TX. Names are Samuel and Robert Leamon they were both on 1880 Murray Co census. Thanks Bessie
Hi You were right. The Jackson Turner family you listed is my line. Mary Harriet is my grandma's grandmother and their son Bolivar is my grandma's dad. Evidently the Turners and McCools stayed close together. They both moved from SC in 1830, and 20 years later, they are still near each other. I really do appreciate your help. Thank you so very much. Nedra

The Scoggins,Scogins, Scroggins in Murry Country are mine. Would you please share marriage records. TIA. Dorris dbext@accucom.net
Hi Louise. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help. Yes, I would love any information about the Turners of Murray County. I'm trying to do some genealogical family history and I am pretty well stopped where my gg grandfather Jackson Turner brother to Nancy Turner McCool is concerned. Its a complicated family, but Gabriel McCool is my ggg grandfather, and his daughter (from a first marriage) married Jackson Turner. Gabriel then later married Jackson's sister Nancy Turner. It is this family (Gabriel and Nancy McCool) and the children that you have been tracking for me. It may turn out that Jackson Turner and my gg grandmother Mary Harriet McCool Turner were in Murray County also. Thanks again, Nedra
Thanks for looking up Nancy and Gabriel McCool in the 1850 census for Murray County. I have another favor to ask of you. You wrote that Martha J. McCool (daughter of Nancy and Gabe) was living with the Jackson Pace family (page 263 Family 1606) Could you tell me something about Jackson Pace. How old was he and where did he come from? The McCool/Turner family came from South Carolina. I wonder if the Pace family also came from there. I believe they may have been related since Nancy McCool's name was Nancy Pace (Turner) McCool. I have long been trying to break through a brick wall where Nancy Turner (and her brother Jackson Turner) are concerned. Thanks, Nedra
By any chance do you see any PARSONS in the marriage book for Murray Co. I am researching Newton A. Parsons, Alvin C. Parsons, James R. Parsons, primarily. Thanks for your help Regards Rose
Nedra, Will get back to you tomorrow with the Turners. Louise

Nedre, Please e-mail me at: ldens@baysat.net I have the information you wanted, but it want go thru to the address I have for you. Louise
Nedra, In the book, Murray County, Georgia Marriage Records 1835-1905 published by Whitfield-Murray Historical Society there is not a listing for Jackson McCool. In fact, the only McCool listed was Jane McCool marrying Solomon Lance on Jun 10, 1857.
