COCKRAM [COCHRAN] JAMES b: 1785 in Va. married Ann Campbell b: 1793 in NC on May 29, 1816 in Morgan Co, Ga. Although James Cockram married in Morgan Co. it is believed that he lived elsewhere prior to 1816 and left Morgan after his father's estate was settled. It is believed that James was the oldest son and possibly still lived in South Carolina, the previous home of his father Benjamin Cockram (Cockerham). Benjamin's daughter (and James Cockram's sister) Frances Cockram married Samuel Paschall, Jr, in Abbeville, South Carolina in the year 1799.
