My family records show that William Askew of Jasper County married a Morgan County woman name Mary "Polly" (___?___). A search of marriages in Georgia before 1850 shows Baty, Polly D. In our records, of their five children, one is named Joseph Beatty Askew, and another Mary Davis Askew. Mary is my 2nd greatgrandmother. Who was her mother? I am thinking that her name should be shown as Mary "Polly" Davis Beatty. Are there Batys or Beattys in Morgan County who can help me? Anybody? Thanks, Lowry
