Good Morning, The numbers listed by each entry in the early Tax Digests for Morgan County, GA, which have been published to the Morgan County, GA GEN-WEB website, do not relate to census districts or land lots but to page numbers in the various tax digests, which makes these numbers useless in my estimation, unless you wanted to go back to the original tax digests at the Morgan County, GA archives in Madison and look to see what property they reference. They should have been posted to the Morgan County GEN-WEB website as: person's name, what they owned and where it was located but they were not. An entry on these tax digests also does not prove the person listed on these various tax digests even lived in Morgan County on the date of the Tax Digest. They only thing they prove is the person or entity listed owned taxable property in Morgan County, GA on the date of the digest.
