My ggg-grandmother Eunice Medlin is living in Morgan Co GA in 1850 and she married my ggg-grandfather Zedrick Hooker Porter sometime in the 1850's. I can't find him anywhere in 1850, but I am fairly certain that he is related somehow to the Porter's of Morgan Co. Zedrick was born around 1828 in GA and died in 1920 in Madison Co., AR.

Hi, I keep several Morgan County, GA PORTERS in my PAF just for reference information. I have an Oliver PORTER who was married to a Margaret WATSON. They had a daughter,Katie, born 1795 that married Jeremiah FANNIN (1785-1848), s/o James H. FANNIN and Georgia Elizabeth SAFFOLD. I have another PORTER, a John W. who had a daughter, Elizabeth born 1825 who married James A. WADE (1820-1900). I do not know who John's parents were. I also have a Martha "Patsy" PORTER born ABT 1780 who married Isham S. FANNIN (1778-1817) so John W. may have been her brother or first cousin but that is just a guess. This is not exactly Morgan County but I have a Renzin PORTER who married a Margaret DANIEL (ABT 1770-1827), d/o John DANIEL and Sarah CUNNINGHAM of PE Co., VA and a lot of this family ended up in Greene County, GA and some may have migrated into Morgan. I do not carry any MEDLINS in my bunch. John R.
