Hey Yall! This one is a little different. Im searching for any and all official records that mention Madison Georgia Confederate Hospitals. The official hospitals were named the Asylum, Blackie, Stout and May. If you have a copy of anything from that era concerning these hospitals, even when they were located elsewhere, such as Dalton and Augusta and Macon, I would love to hear from you. I have patient lists, medical certificates, correspondence and much more which I am compiling into a book. Also, I am searching for descendents of Edward Chapman and Sallie Pat Burney who resided in Augusta in the 1920's. Her family was from Madison. In Augusta, she had an engraving of "Rebecca at the Well" that hung in one of the hospitals. And I would love to get a picture of it and more of its history. All copies would be acknowledged in my book. Thanks to all! Do you have anything in your hospital records about David Wesley Hanson. He was in the Confederate Hospital in Macon about the time of the Battle in Atlanta. He had a head wound that eventually caused him to go blind, but was released from the hospital before the end of the war. My cousin, cousin has a letter from him while he was in the hospital. I will try to get it for you.
