I'm researching the RAINES family in Morgan Co. about 1820 to 1840. Does anyone have this family in their records? Specifically, Edmund RAINES who appears in the 1820 and 1830 U.S. Census for Morgan County. He appears in one record as a R.S. (or Revolutionary Soldier), and received land in the 1832 Cherokee land lottery. He had a large family. Any help is appreciated. Justin
