    3. Roy and Don, I appreciate your input, however I don't see a connection to my Sharp line. On the 1880 Elmore Co, AL federal census, John Floyd Sharp's parents birth state was given as South Carolina. Since I do not know who William Sharp's parents were, I cannot place any of his ancestors in any other state. Of course, that does not mean that the original immigrants couldn't have been in North Carolina or Virginia at one time. None of the other mentioned surnames have surfaced in my research of my Sharp line. Thanks and I certainly wish we could find that missing link.
