Hi, I am very interested in the WHITFIELD family of Morgan County, Ga. The only WHITFIELD I can find listed at World Connect from Morgan County, GA was a Nancy Ann WHITFIELD (1815-1837) who married a Silas ELLIS. I am sure there were WHITFIELDS in Morgan County because they owned one of the first cotton mills in Morgan County, GA. I am sure the WHITFIELDS and the JORDANS were thicker then thieves in an around Morgan County, GA. I also know there was a Whitfield's District in Morgan County, GA I would almost bet they were out of the William WHITFIELD (1689-1770) and Mary Elizabeth GOODMAN (1695-ABT 1730)family of Dobbs County, NC. Their kids married into the O'DANIEL, BRYAN, GRANDY, WARREN, OUTLAW, POWELL, HERRING, WILLIAMS. WINKFIELD and BECK mostly around Dobbs County, NC and St. David's District, SC or areas in between.
