Diane, James CUNNINGHAM (1720-1780) of Charlotte County, VA married Anne THOMASON (ABT 1718-1788), also of Charlotte County, VA. I have often looked at this bunch, which we DANIEL researchers refer to as the KELSO-DANIEL, for links to my DANIEL bunch but I have not found them, there. They did meet the financial and professional profiles of my DANIEL family but they do not contain the right collateral links. As you probably know, THOMASON was also a Madison name. I also may not have listed all of the children in this list, only those that I have from this family. The DANIEL family associated with the Greene County bunch are referred to by me as the "Cunningham-Daniels" for use of a better name. I also understand there are basically no CUNNINGHAMS left in Madison, GA. However, there were a few early DANIELS in Morgan County, GA with the middle initial of "C." but I think this initial stood for COLEMAN and not CUNNINGHAM and this was from the COLEMAN family, also of Greene County, GA. James and Anne Thomason CUNNINGHAM had: i.Sarah CUNNINGHAM (ABT 1747-1815) married John DANIEL ii. Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM (ABT 1747-AGFT 1797) married James DANIEL II moved to Greene County, GA iii. Samuel CUNNINGHAM (1751-1805) married Jean DANIEL iv. Ann CUNNINGHAM born ABt 1755 married Andrew HANNAH v. Must be a different James CUNNINGHAM since the one that I have married Elizabeth Ann HENDERSON and was the father of my ggggrandmother, Elizabeth Ann CUNNINGHAM b. HART CO. who married George Washington BROWN b. 1851 ELBERT CO. He was the son of Edward Herndon BROWN b. 1813 ELBERT CO and Elizabeth Ann HERNDON b. 1817 ELBERT CO (yes, they were cousins which explains some of my family!) Yes, you are right. That James CUNNINGHAM was born 1720 in VA and I do not think there is any way he could be the father of an Anne CUNNINGHAM who got married in 1851. However, he was the probably an ancestor of most Greene and Morgan County, GA CUNNINGHAMS. Since you list the name of George Washington BROWN of Hart County, GA, was he related to John Andrew BROWN (1843-1923) and Lucinda Matilda Frances JONES (1845-1930) of Hartwell, Hart County, GA? These BROWNS were originally from Elbert County, GA. John Andrew BROWN and Lucinda were the parents of William Leighton BROWN (1866-1895) who married Fannie Williams HUNTER (1872-1957) of Stephens, Oglethorpe County, GA. Fannie was the d/o Nathan HUNTER (1841-1883) and Sarah Caroline RICHTER (1842-1908), my Grand Aunt. Fannie also married a Jonathan BROWN after the death of her first husband, according to my notes but I do not have any other details on him. . John R.
