    1. [GAMORGAN-L] John Beasley & Margaret Brown
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Vd.2ADE/1102 Message Board Post: We have John Beasley, b. Dec. 1819, Morgan Co., Ga.; d. 1904/5 Morgan Co., Ga.; m. Margaret Brown, 1845, Clarke Co., Ga.; Margaret d. 1916/5 possibly in Fulton Co., Ga. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find the lineage for either of these and are hoping that someone may recognize the names and be able to help us out. Their daughter, Mary Frances, married our James Howard Bowdoin in 1874, Morgan Co., Ga. and she died in 1916 in Newton Co., Ga. We feel the Brown family may be from Clarke -- since that's where they married -- but we are just totally lost on them. Also, in the Morgan County Records, we found a Frances Beasley married a Thomas Brown on 6 August 1848, and Mary Beasley married William J. Brown on 29 June 1850 or 3 May 1853 (two different dates found). We feel these may have been brothers to Margaret but have not been able to prove this yet. However, Margaret and John had a daughter named Mary Frances, so this relationship is highly probable - both for the Browns being her family, and the Beasleys being his. In Morgan Co. records, a Polly Beasley married a Henry Brown on 24 Dec. 1817 -- research is also being done to see if this could be Margaret's family . We also found in Morgan Co. Marriages - John Beasley to Sally Cooper 4 Feb 1811 -- could these be John's parents. We're so in hopes that someone may be able to help us with some of these items. At this point, even finding that some of them are not ours will be a help -- sometimes you have to just go backwards and eliminate families!!! Thanks so much for any help. Ardie Please reply directly to me at Broward223@aol.com as I'm not on the Morgan-L list. Thanks.
