According to his SS-5 form his parents were Balus REID and Frances BREWER. However, on the 1930 census, Burnie (Burney) is in Cedar Shoals, Newton county, GA with his wife kids and mother, Dollie R. REID. I know it is the same Burnie Reid. Why does his mother have two different names, Frances and Dollie R. in the only two sources I have found for her? Does anyone out there know about this family?
Hi, The BREWERS and the REIDS have been tied up as far back as VA. Alexander REID (1768-1832) was born in VA and died in Putnam County, GA. He married Elizabeth BREWER (ABt 1774-1860) in 1792. This was the ancestors of the REID family of Putnam County, GA which tied in with many of the early families of Madison. Their chillen: <<< Children i.
