Good Morning, I just got some interesting information from a DURDEN researcher who researches the Stephen DURDEN family of Morgan County, GA. A Prudence DANIEL, who this researcher thinks was a daughter of Stephen DURDEN, deeded land in 1839 that she owned in Morgan County, GA to her brother, Stephen I. DURDEN. This Prudence DANIEL was then living in Russell County, AL and this was after the death of their father, Stephen DURDEN. >From these deeds we know that Stephen DURDEN's wife was named, Mary LNU. Other names listed in these 1839 deeds were: William ALLEN & Wm W. JONES, who were witnesses to the deed signed by Prudence DANIEL and a Michael and Ann MOONEY.
