Lois - The "Wilkes Co., GA, Tax Records, 1785-1805" by Frank Parker Hudson shows that Enoch Stringfellow was in Wilkes as early as 1785 and was listed in the 1785, 1786, 1787 tax digests for Wilkes. Benjaman was listed in 1790, 1791, and 1793. Also, the book "Abstracts of Georgia Land Plat Books A & B, 1779-1785" by Nathan Mathews, mentions plat No. 350, p. 119, for Edward Harrison in Wilkes Co., dated 9th June 1784 and executed 29th July 1784 for 200 acres. Harrison's land joined lands of Shadrick Kenebrew, vacant land, Isaac Low and Enoch Stringfellow -- so Enoch was in Wilkes Co. on or before 1784. I don't have a copy of the will, but there was a Will for Amy Stringfellow in 1826, Greene Co., Will Book F, p. 130.
