Hi, The COLBERTS of Morgan County, GA were probably out of Elbert, Lincoln or Hancock County, GA - that area. Frederick COLBERT, Esq. who married a Temperance POWERS was the father of Caroline COLBERT (1823-1916) who married the Hon. Nathaniel Green FOSTER, Esq. of Madison. Frederick COLBERT died in Bibb County, GA. The FOSTERS were from Greene County, GA and before that, Southampton County, VA. I have a hand written letter from Caroline Colbert FOSTER to my GGA, Anna Maria Richter MUSTIN, in 1915 after the death of Anna's daughter, Frances Beatrice MUSTIN, then Mrs. Thomas Pinckney ALSTON.
