I've just been looking up information on Awbrey/Aubreys for about 2 years. My husband's mother was Alma Louise Awbrey, from Indiana. We only know of her and her sister, Thelma May, and their parents, Raleigh W. Awbrey, b. 3/15/1890, In IN (we think); d. 8/6/1967, in Eton, IN (he and his wife, Viola Lee Davis, are buried in Indianapolis, IN, in Washington Park East cemetery. Raleigh's father was Jonathan Gore Awbrey, b. 1855, in KY; d. 12/9/1914, in Evansville, IN, where he's buried. His wife was Cordelia Sherman Leach, b. 6/18/1865, in IN; d. 7/13/1951, in Indianapolis, IN. She's also buried in Evansville, we think. We think Jonathan's mother was a Gore. Cordelia's parents were William T. Leach, b. bef 1840--no other dates are known--YET! Her mother was Mary Jane Myrick, b. bef 1840--no other dates known for her, either. Have you ever run across any information on any of these folks or any earlier ones, in KY, perhaps, who might be related.?
