I would like to include some pieces of relevant poetry in my family history book. At this time, I am searching for a poem about a soldier way from home, and his longing to return to his homeland (Georgia?). It mentions the familiar land features like rapids, hills, etc., and the phrase "warrior's lament". My resources here are very limited...could some one help?
