Last night while digging around ancestry.com's website (looking for free database searches) I found the Civil Water Muster database which is a free search. There are 5.5 million listed. I'm not sure of the exact link, but you can find it by going to http://www.ancestry.com/search/rectype/alldblist.asp and scrolling down through the list. I found what I was looking for and was surprised. To get around the search, first I typed in English and there were 15000 or more, then I typed in English Georgia and it just found the English men in Georgia . . . Hope it helps.
