My ancestors came to the Carolinas from Scotland to NC. They come to GA during the GA Land Lottery and mainly setteled in Monroe Co area. William Ross had a son Robert Ross and Robert Ross had Russell Ross. Russell married a first time to an Elizabeth (I think Pound) It is this marriage I want to find out about. They had two sons, John W born in1854 and a Sidney born 1858. All are living on the 1860 census in the Redbone Dist. Russell goes into the Civil War in 1861 then in 1863 he remarries to Mary Ann Amanda Powell. I have been unable to find out what happened to Elizabeth and Sidney. HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
