    2. Jennifer Sherwood Braswell
    3. This week I have been amiss at posting what I had intended to do because my home is being cleaned about after a room switch...My hubby stayed home and helped so I knew I had to do my share of the work and not spend much time here. We're also preparing for the big game "IRON BOWL" (Alabama@Auburn)... Let's all breathe a bit through next weekend and find more family facts while visiting with our families...I sure plan to... When the weekend is over, we can all share again! PS: Be thinking about your favorite desk tools that you use for genning and share them with us... We'll share guides to computer us, genealogy, etc. And don't forget your thoughts and prayers for our dear Jane Newton. Holiday are always hard...especially the first time. Jennifer Sherwood Braswell jensgen@iol10.com and as always, you're free to post your names at all times!!!

Of the three Elizabeth Gillentine and James Collins our the least likely, as I have had only to people say this over the last two years and they had no source information for saying this. I suspect they may have picked up on James Collins m. Elizabeth and got Wiley mixed up with Gillentine some how. There our two schools of thought the older one believing that James m. Elizabeth Wiley and a more recent view that Joseph m. Lucy Marchbanks. It is important to say that neither one has proof positive source information that shows which one is correct. I will add more on Elisha at a later date as I sort my mountain of information and why I feel Joseph and Lucy are a more likely prospect. Again there is no document that I have seen that positively Identifies the parents of Elisha and siblings with any parent. It is just by association with other records and how you add them up to what is after all our best guess. . (VIII)1-3-1-5-1 ROBERT COLLINS b. 1742 (VIII)1-3-1-5-2 STEPHEN COLLINS b. 1744 m. 2. I am sure that many of you have been given wonderful clues and information to your family lines by Jane Newton. Someone inquired as to why she hasn't been on line recently. Her husband has been very ill and in the hospital. He passed away yesterday, I believe. The visitation will be tomorrow (Saturday) and the funeral on Sunday at 2:00 PM. Our sympathy and prayers are with this wonderful lady and her family. Gwen Grant Bryan

    3. Ann Eliza Ball, daughter of Jonathan Ball (c1799 - 1860), married Robert Henry Brown February 28, 1849 in Monroe County. Their children were Nancy J., Jonathan L., William R., Lucinda F., Joel Wesley, Martha Ann, and Mary Elizabeth who married James A. Barron. I descend from their daughter Martha Ann who married Robert W. Rich in 1878. Ann Eliza Ball Brown died in Monroe County about 1886. I do not know where she is buried but do know that the family was active in Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, Jackson Circuit. Robert Henry Brown moved to Louisiana with the Rich family in 1904 and died there in 1917. I would like to hear from any Ball, Brown, Barron, Rich, (or any other) descendants and will be happy to share my data.
