    2. gnolte2
    3. I recently posted my Mosley Lesby-Lesley query on the list. I have responded to a few of you, but not the others. Please give me a few more days. I, too, have very serious illness in the family and am having a hard time finding the time to answer everyone and to study all the responses. I hope to have more time very shortly. Everyone will be answered. Thank you Mary Nolte gnolte2@ametro.net

    1. [GAMONROE] Let me call you Sweetheart Mosley-Lesby/Lesley
    2. gnolte2
    3. James Mosley married Mary Lesby or Lesley on 12/01/1825 in Monroe Co Ga. I have several copies of the marriage registration. It is a script written page from Book A, page 27 of Probate Judge Monroe County. Because of the way the last name was written, different people have interpreted the last name as either Lesby or Lesley. I cannot tell which one it is. Is there anyone researching any Lesleys or Lesbys that my Mary could belong to? Mary, possible middle initial B, was born about 1801, according to census records. She was living with her husband in Bibb Co GA in 1860 and in Taylor Co GA in 1870. She died in Dec 1879 in Taylor Co GA. I know of 2 of their children: L. Brantley Mosley born about 1828 in GA? died before 5/6/1903 Taylor Co GA and James Emory Mosley born about 1830 in GA died 1917 Austin, Travis Co, Texas buried McLennan Co TX [my gg grandfather] [more of him and his wife in seperate email] There might be a 3rd son Thomas M Mosley (Moseley) born about 1833 living in Taylor Co in 1900. Anyone related to the above Mosleys/Moseleys or if you can identify my Mary Lesby/Lesley, PLEASE contact me. Mary Nolte gnolte2@ametro.net
