Hi everyone, We still don't have a lot of subscribers, and because we don't, I think I can make this offer<G> My uncle, was Benjamin Fowler, from Meriwether Co. On the wall of his den, he has a map of the county, done in 1910, by the Hudgins Company. [I have tried to find the Hudgins co, but apparently they are out of business. ] On the map, along with all the usual roads, streams, railroads and towns, there is listed all the LANDOWNERS names where their property is located in the county. So if you have any ancestors from Meriwether co, that still lived there in 1910, let me know. I will be more than glad to look for them on the map. Only the year, 1910. I understand that only one other of these maps is in existence, in the courthouse. At least Uncle Ben, when he was alive, thought so. I plan to go visit soon, but you have plenty of time to get the information to me. Maybe in a week or so, if not this weekend. If you get this after this weekend, don't worry..I'll be going back. I hope to move to Meriwether as soon as I sell my home here. [Do you know anyone who wants to move to Stockbridge? Have a great deal on a all brick home!] By checking this map, I found that the home I want to purchase was owned by W.A.Davis in 1910.... Debbie Listowner for GAMERIWE PS..does anyone have any good suggestions on how to copy this map? It is about 2 or 3 ft x 4 or 5 ft in size, & framed in glass, I can't take it out of the frame. The room is very dark, where it is hanging. I would need to do it, where it is now.
