Hi Everyone, per Brian Leverich, owner of rootsweb and provider of our county mail lists and web space for our county sites. >RootsWeb is announcing "County Resource" pages for every county in America. The pages include or will include links to USGenWeb sites on RootsWeb, a mailing list, a >GenConnect suite, a link registry, search engines for the USGenWeb >Archives and the RSL, an event calendar, a guestbook, and various >other tools. > >You can see the County Resources at: > http://resources.rootsweb.com/USA/ or use this link County Resources if you are on aol. > >We expect to be adding tools to the Resource pages as rapidly as we >can. There will surely be a Social Security Death Index search and >some other nice features coming on line in the not-to-distant future. Suddenly, we have a calendar and a guest book! AND I did not have to do anything to get it. I have already requested the counties I host for NCGenWeb and if you visit the resource page, you will see a link back to the county/counties. There are a few bugs to be worked out, but all in all, this is going to be a great resource that will compliment what is already online for Burke, Lincoln, Rutherford, which I host or any other county in the Project. And for those Meriwether county Ga. list folks who requested lookups, I still have them, but have never made it to the courthouse! Hubby has had me house-hunting all this time. We found one and will be moving soon. I'm slow, but will prove dependable yet! Just to make sure I did not lose your requests, I printed them 6 times. Sincerely, Debbie Fowler
