I would be most grateful to find if there is a marriage for a Thomas or a William Black in Meriwether Co. My great grandfather was listed with both names. I do not know his wifes name as it was unreadable on 1850 cencus. His son Issac Russell was born in 1843. in Meriwether Co. Also had a daughter Nan or Nancy. In 1860 children werelisted as orphans. I would estimate the marriage of Thomas or William was about 1840. A few years before or just after. In family records Thomas is most often written as Isaac father but I was also told it was William.
