Hi Cari, My mother was born in Gay in 1918. She is the youngest of 13 children of the Drew family. My grandfather's mother was a Brown. My grandmother's father was a Mann and her mother was a Thrash. I have always enjoyed stories of her childhood in Meriwether County. The farm has been owned by our family since 1837. I spent many days of my own childhood visiting my grandparents, aunt, and uncle on the farm in Gay. There was no indoor plumbing until the late 1950s and my aunt cooked all the meals on a wood burning stove until the late 1960s. She made the best biscuits in the world on that stove. I would love to read your mother's story and I'm sure my mother would enjoy it also. Patty Edwards
