    1. Annie Jane PERRY
    2. Linda, At this point I know next to nothing about Annie Jane PERRY. I've just started researching. This may not help you much, but here it is anyway. William A. THRASH and wife, Virginia LIGON, and son, Thomas, age 1, were on 1850 Meriwether Co. census. There was also a LEGAN family on that census which I believe is Virginia's LIGON family. By 1880, they were in Floyd County, GA, along with other children, including my gr-gr-grandfather, William Hammett, age 24. He is not shown with a wife at that time. He first married Martha Ann Francis BRYAN (my gr-gr-grandmother). My father has a notation that they married 10/1884 and that she died 7/6/1889, but he can't remember where he got that info. We're not sure when or where William Hammett married Annie Jane PERRY, but they raised his children by first wife and their own in north Alabama. She is buried at Piney Grove Church near Grove Oak in DeKalb County, Alabama. Tombstone says born 6/28/1874, died 2/28/1950. There are 2 THRASH cemeteries in Meriwether Co. so there probably were THRASH family ties there even after they moved to Floyd Co. Hammett could have known her from there or he could have met her in Alabama. I would venture to guess that with two very young children, he would have married before moving away. I may find more on her. If so, I will try to remember to post here. I am very interested in finding info on Martha Ann Francis BRYAN. We know nothing of her except her name and we have a portrait of her. Pam, a THRASH in Alabama
