Rayanne and all, thank you so much for your kind words. I enjoy helping with what I can in everyone's research associated with Meriwether County. My family roots are not in Meriwether County, but since I've lived her nearly all of my life, I want to do what I can to help researchers of this area. I have gained very valuable information in my own searching from kind volunteers in other counties. I want to encourage everyone to volunteer in your geographic area. Subscribe to the mailing list in the county where you live now. Even if you don't have a lot of time to spend at the library, you may just know of a local historian you could refer others too, you may know of a historical place nearby that someone is looking for, you may be able to help with directions to churches/cemeteries, etc. Now, with that being said, I offer my time in cemetery photos (have a digital camera) for researchers looking for Meriwether County relatives. If you will send me the specific names, the cemetery (and directions if possible), I will keep a list and photograph headstones/markers as I can get to them. I live on the county line at the southern end of this fairly large county and it may take me several months to get to your specific request, but if you are a patient person, I'll do my best to see what I can do with the requests.
