    3. These are the war years and not a great deal is happening until the end of the war. There is a list of members added to the church in the July 1865 minutes and a decision by the black members to form their own chuch in Aug 1865. begin 251-256 January 1862-August 1862 I. Hart mod, C.L. Battle CC (routine meetings, no important business recorded) Sept Turm Church met in conference dore of the church opened by Elder I. Hart caled for Refence, none New Matter when chose Brethrn R.F. Wiggins, Isaac Hart and G.W. Melner to represent the church in the Fenship(Friendship) Association C.L. Battle to write the Letter October 1862-November 1862 I. Hart, C.L. Battle CC (regular meeting, no important business recorded) Decr (December) Conference Convianed Called for Refference Caled for when Bro. Hart agreed to serve the church for insuing year 1863 (note: the following is the only entry for the year of 1863 and the only time they mention the "condition of the country" in any of the years during the Civil War) January 1863 The condition of the Country has bin Sutch thoe we as a church Sometimes met and had the Gospel preached to us by our mutch Esteamed paster and Brother I. Hart. Yet nothing of mutch importance was transacted in conference. It is only due to say that the clerk mislaid or lost the minutes of that year. January 1864-August 1864, I. Hart mod, C. L. Hart mod 1 open the dore for the Resption members 2 called for Refence when the church went into choise of Delegates to Repsent _?_ in the Association when Bro. Hart, Wiggins, Hayes and Milner in case of failure Closed C.L. Battle CC October-November (regular meeting, no important business recorded) I. Hart mod December 1864 The Baptist Church at Ebenezer met in conference,Bro. Hart mod 1st open the dore for the Resption members 2 call for Reffences, when the Church went into choise of a paster when Bro. Hart was unanimusly Elected and answered the church that he would Serve them for the year 1865 January 1865-June 1865 I.
