Favors, of Geneva, were in our village last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Chalkley, of Columbus spent last week with relatives here. Messrs. Ode and Frank Harris and families spent last Saturday night with their father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Harris near Short's Mill. Mr. Jim Wyrick and son, Jerry, jade a business trip to Ring's Mill Saturday. Mr. J.E. Chalkley, of Mt. Olive, spent Wednesday night with Mr. W.A. Walker. Quite a crowd from Juniper attended preaching at Box Springs and County Line last Sunday. Miss Sarah Bullock has returned to her home in Buena Vista. Mr. H.J. Benson and son, Henry, of Geneva, are repairing the Juniper bridge. Mr. Frank Harris now occupies his newly completed residence. Miss Blanche Youngblood, of Mt. Olive, visited relatives at Junction City last week. Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Walker attended the general meeting at Box Springs last week. Ed Chalkley and family visited Ben Tyler and family last Sunday. The little infant of Mr. and Mrs. S.W. Anthony is slowly improving. Mr. and Mrs. W.M. McFarland, of Mauk, and Mr. and Mrs. M.D. Moore, of Juniper, visited at the home of S. Lawhorn last week. W.H. Chalkley, of Columbus, visited his brother Ed, here Wednesday. Mack Moore was looking after business here Wednesday. Miss Eva Chalkley visited Misses Julia and Blanche Youngblood last Sunday. J.E. Chalkley and children, Eva and Chandler, attended the Union meeting at County Line, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Little Jimmie Thaggard is on the sick list this week. Miss Willie Smith and Master Lester and Robert Edge were guests at the home of Mr. O.W. Smith Sunday. Persons, Charlie and Rubie Lee Persons attended the commencement sermon in Buena Vista Sunday. Mr. Howell Eason, of Oglethorpe, visited a maiden fair here Sunday. Mrs. W.R. Hair, of Buena Vista, spent Sunday very pleasantly with Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Rogers. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Harbuck, of Sand Hill, spent Saturday and Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Brown. Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Rogers and little son, Joseph, spent last Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. M.B. McCrary. Mrs. Charles Hogg and two little daughters, Nell and Thelma, returned to their home near Americus Thursday. Blue and Nathaniel Holloman, of Buena Vista, spent Monday with friends here. Misses Rubie Lee and Estelle Persons are spending a few days with friends and relatives in Buena Vista. Mrs. John Hanner went home with her daughter, Mrs. Council Cheeks, last Friday to spend several days. Messrs. Gordon Jordon and Laz Wiggins attended the singing at Church Hill Sunday and report a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wiggins spent Saturday evening in Buena Vista with their daughter, Mrs. J.W. Steed. Miss Mattie Kate King, of Box Springs, is the charming guest of her sister, Mrs. G.C. Persons. Mrs. W.P. Wallis, of Americus, spent Tuesday very pleasantly with Mr. and Mrs. J.S. Rogers. Mr. and Mrs. Dobles and daughter, Pearl, were in Buena Vista Friday. Messrs. Guy and Fay McBrayer visited in Renfroes Sunday. Mr. J.B. McBrayer spent a few hours in Buena Vista Friday. Miss May Dobbs and Mr. Will Walls were united in marriage at the residence of Squire Lawson Sunday, May 23rd. The marriage was a complete surprise to everyone. We wish them a long and happy life. Mr. R.L. Story was attending to business in Columbus this week. The farmers are making good use of the pretty weather. Mr. Guy McBrayer, of Atlanta, is visiting home folks here.
