I am trying to figure out why there on no records in Houston, Macon, and Marion Counties of the sale and purchase of land. I know PHILIP BAILEY bought land in Houston County before 1837. I presume all of this land ended up in Macon, but it may not have. He died ca. 1839 in Marion County and his succession shows he owned land in Marion. There are no records per my research and Ga. Archives of the sale of the land PHILIP owned in Houston or of the purchase of the land in Marion. No land records for him in Macon. Any ideas?
