She was educated in the public schools of Marion County. She joined Shady Grove Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Mt Zion Baptist Church. Ms Holt died Tuesday evening, July 19, 1994 at the Medical Center in Columbus, GA Funeral services were held Saturday, July 23, 1994 at Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Reverend Floyd Story officiated. Pallbearers: Harold Clark, Alfred McKinney, Hawaiian Sales, Robert Walker, Frankie Carter and Daniel Gay. Burial in Shady Grove Cemetery in Marion County, GA. Survivors include her father, special friend Johnnie Gorman, a daughter, Mrs. Beverly Ann (Wilmon) Green of Buena Vista, GA; 2 sons, Mr. Willie Clifford (Ruby Lee) Stephenson of Weston, GA and Mr. Donald (Regina) Cottle of Midway, GA; 3 sisters, Ms Josephine Holt, Ms Ardella Holt and Mrs. Louvonia (Clifford Sr.) Clark, all of Buena Vista, GA; 3 brothers, Mr. Robert Holt, Mr. Horace Holt, both of Buena Vista, GA, Mr William Harper Holt of Macon, GA; sisters-in- law: Bertha Jewell Holt of Americus, GA and Mrs. Daisy Lee Holt of Macon, GA; aunts: Mary Holt Perry of Atlanta, GA and Matilda Holt of Buena Vista, GA; great aunt, Arrie Minter of Buena Vista, GA; family friends, Daniel Gay and Shirley Weaver. 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 2 great nephews, 5 grandchildren and cousins.
