Does anyone know if the original 1840 census is incomplete? My lines from Marion Co. do not appear on this census although they lived in Marion Co. c. 1830 or before to 1890s. They appeared on every census except the 1840. I know the courthouse burned c. 1846. Was the original census affected by this fire? Nora
