Glenn graduated from Buena Vista High School and entered the US Army, then moved to Boston, MA where he worked at Sears and Roebuck. He traveled extensively. He died 1:00 p.m., October 1, 1987 at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital In Boston, MA. Funeral services were held Saturday, October 10, 1987 at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Tazewell, GA. Reverend Floyd Story officiated. Burial in Mt Olive Baptist Church cemetery. She married Mr. Clemmon Holt and they had two daughters (one, Margaret) preceded her in death. She was a member of Mt Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Tazewell, GA. She moved to Chattanooga, TN and joined the Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church there, serving on the Mother Board. Mrs. Holt died in August, 1985. Funeral services were held Monday, August 26, 1985 at Mt Olive Baptist Church in Tazewell, Marion County, GA; Reverend F N Napper officiated. Burial in Shady Grove Cemetery, Buena Vista, GA. Survivors in clude her daughter, Mrs. Fannie Bell of Chattanooga, TN; 14 grandchildren, which includes Herman Holt of Chattanooga, TN; 32 great grand children and 9 great, great grandchildren; nieces and nephews which includes Mr. & Mrs. Elizah Williams of Buena Vista, GA. There they joined th Shiloh Baptist Church. He retired from Goodyear Aircraft in 1966. He died on a Sunday morning May 31, 1976, only a few steps from the church. Funeral was held Friday, June 4, 1976; Pastor Reverend Harold Hopkins officiated.
