Good Evening, I have been searching for my Tait/Tate family in GA for some time now. My Tait/Tate family was in Madison Co during the 1840s. I have found them listed on the census records and it list William A. Tate as a farmer. I would like to know if anyone has any info about this family. It would also seem that William's oldest son James Henry Tate married his wife Martha (?) there. His marriage record isn't listed in the court house records, it maybe that they were married in a church. Would like to know if anyone has this info or how to get it. Also would like to know if any one in Madison Co will make a trip to the court house for any land records that William A. Tate had. Would like to have a copy of them.
