Would appreciate info on the Carltons who came to Madison Co or that area in the early 1800s. Does anyone know what Carltons the town of Carlton was named for and who the creek (Carlton) was named for. My Carlton family was spread out over Wilkes, Elbert, Oglethorpe, Green, Morgan, as well as Madison. They came as did everybody else, from VA. Thanks, Glenn
