Jim - I just happened to have all the Dudleys from the 1820 thru 1850 census already typed up from a message to another Dudley researcher before Madison County List existed. Here it my e-mail to her: When I first started out researching my family - the family story was "we came from Madison Co - always been there" - Well it didn't take long to find out that wasn't true. But not before I had gone out and bought a printed copy of the 1820/1830/1840/1850 Madison Co Census - none of which includes my family. But it does include YOURS. It appears they've "always been there." I'm thrilled to finally get some use out of these censuses (what IS the plural for census?)
