Hello everyone! Problem: Where is that marriage record I'm looking for??? Wiley Jones BRIDGES was b. ca 1779 in NC (possibly Wake Co.). His parents, Nathaniel "Jones" BRIDGES and Ritter SIMS migrated to Wilkes / Oglethorpe Co. in the late 1700s. According to a family Bible of Ezekiel (son of Wiley), his parents were Wiley J. BRIDGES and Jane. According to a writeup by another researcher in a county history book, the parents of Martha Bridges (sister to Ezekiel) were Wiley Jones Bridges and Jennie STRICKLAND. There is a Jane STRICKLAND who was a daughter of Solomon STRICKLAND who left a will in Madison Co., GA. He mentions his daughter Jenni BRIDGES. Wiley J. BRIDGES is found in deeds of Madison Co. during the early 1800's living on Brushy Creek. Did Wiley and Jane "Jenny" marry in Madison Co.? If so, where is the record?
