>My ancestor appears in the 1880 census but not in the 1900 census. So she >died in between. How do I find out when a person died during this time >frame? Good question! If anyone has some suggestions, I hope you'll post them through the list so all can learn. I've never looked at tax records from this time period... are they available, and if so, from where? Mike, was the gal you're looking for single/widowed when she died? If so, there might be some type of probate record for her, besides a will... letters of administration, estate inventory, etc. That's the only thing I can think of, other than an obituary, and who wants to scroll through 20 years of newspapers? (Okay, I admit, I would love to, if I had that much time!). Jeanne
