Carithers, died Thursday at Athens General Hospital. Born in Madison County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late J.T. and Lola Epps Fields. She was a member of Meadow Baptist Church. Surviving are son, David Carithers of Sandy Springs; daughter, Mrs. Linda Nation of Commerce; brothers, W.C.Fields of Athens, J.C.Fields of Hull; sisters, Mrs. Norene Holcomb of Hull, Mrs. Ruth Sorrow of Athens, Mrs. Lyvader McKie of Comer; one grandchild reared in the home, Miss Frankie Lynn Nation. Services at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Meadow Baptist Church, by the Revs. Allen Vickery, Eugene Pettyjohn and Gen Todd. Burial in the church cemetery. The body is at Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, where the family will receive friends from 7 0 10 p.m. Thursday. The body will be placed in the church at 12:30 p.m. Saturday. The family is at the home.
