Dear Holley, My interest in the Hamptons lies in a family tree worksheet I am doing for my own benefit on early Madison Co families. I don't think I am actually related to any Hamptons, thus none are on my family site. As for Maysville, there are no Hamptons buried in the cemetery. My book is still available for $15, S&H included, however it may be of no use to you as far as Hamptons go. I checked my database of Maysville Socials from old newspapers and found the following. I guess you already know that there was a LARGE family of Hamptons from Madison Co GA. One doctor named HJ Hampton practiced in Maysville. I have only transcribed old newspaper records between 1878 and 1884, so if your Hampton relative was born in 1894 in Maysville, I have not gotten that far along in the records at this time. 1878-0216 FN (Forest News): Dr. HJ HAMPTON has located in our vicinity. He is such a nice young physician. We hope him much success in our midst. 1880-0730 FN: Drs.
